Claude Monet was a french painter and was a found of French impressionist paintings. He was most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movements philosophy of expressing ones perceptions before nature. He is regarded as the archetypal Impressionist in that his devotion to the ideals of the movement was unwavering throughout his long career, and it is fitting that one of his pictures--Impression: Sunrise (Musée Marmottan, Paris; 1872)--gave the group his name.
He was born on 14th November, 1840 and died on 5th December, 1926. Claude Monet found subjects in his immediate surroundings, as he painted the people and places he knew best.
